The War
Eagle Fair is
the "granddaddy" of them all, located along the
banks of the War Eagle River and alongside the
Historic War Eagle Mill. Beginning in 1954, the
fair has grown to include approx. 260 vendors, and
welcomes over 180,000 visitors throughout the
week-end. Exhibitors undergo strict screening prior
to acceptance, and the fair offers the opportunity
to watch and visit with the artisans at work.
Stained glass, leather,
basketmakers, woodworkers, oil and acrylic painting,
sculpture, and lots of other hand-made arts & crafts
are available. Holiday theme gifts are in
abundance, as well as seasonal decorations.
Parking assistance is provided, as
well as a first aid station, permanent restrooms and
plenty of porta-potties, even a free package
checking service. Food, snacks, and beverages are
convenient and reasonably priced
Gates open at 8 a.m. each day and
close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and
at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Free admission, $5 per vehicle parking fee will be
charged.
